Street Fighter Movie Reboot Pt. 2

As continued since the last post...

Sagat

He's mean, he's strong, he's vicious, he's Sagat.  The original enemy.  He's not as big of a staple as Ryu or Ken, but if the movie would be based of off Ryu and Ken, Sagat is a must.

Vinnie Jones

I was a little weary of putting Vinnie Jones in for Sagat because he's played alot of loud characters.  But he could play the cool, cold and menacing Sagat after watching his performance in Midnight Meat Train.  Just get him bigger and we'd have our guy.

Adon

A virtual unknown unless you are a hardcore Street Fighter fan, Adon was the second to the last fight on the original Street Fighter and the apprentice to Sagat.  If one wanted to make a movie around the original Street Fighter, Adon is a must.  And because of him being an unknown to most, he would be easy to make because he could be cold and calculating like Sagat or he could be loud and wild, but also very, very good.

Cam Gigandet

C'mon.  He's a no brainer.  He would be able to play either Adon; cold and calculated or wild and loud.  And he's had martial arts experience.

Birdie

Another virtual unknown, Birdie is a former bouncer who wanted fame and fortune, so he joined the Street Figher tournament.  Like Adon, he could be virtually anything because he's an unknown.

Louis Decosta Johnson

A virtual unknown actor in America, for those who pay attention to English television, he's the hulking Tony in Misfits.  A perfect person to play Birdie

Eagle

Eagle is probably more unknown than Birdie, but he would be fantastic because he's English, well dressed and more than all else... confident.  He knows he's good and that's what would make him perfect.

Michael Fassbender

If anyone has seen this man in a movie, you KNOW I'm right.

Geki

The original Vega.  Sure Vega is the man, but he wasn't in the original.  Geki, however was.  They could easily make him a silent assassin.

Rain

If anyone's seen Ninja Assassin, he's the obvious choice.  He could be quiet and deadly as Geki

Well that's about it.  You wouldn't need that many characters because there isn't that many in the original Street Fighter.  I hope you agree with me!

Street Fighter Reboot Options

Since video games have been made, there has always seemed to be someone that thinks they can make the best movie adaptation into a video game.  Now, some have been good, but most have sucked because directors and writers and producers and so on and so forth don't take the story from the video game, they just take the characters.  Now, I know that in order for a video game to be good, it MUST have good characters.  But lately there has been on MAJOR disappointment: Street Fighter.  Arguably the greatest fighting video game of all time, every single live action movie has sucked.  The first one was based around Guile and Bison, which isn't a bad idea, but unless you're just wanting badass action and shit for a story, don't put Jean Claude Van Damme in a movie.  And in the remake, it was based around Chun-Li and Bison.  Now, I could be wrong, but when in the hell was ANY Street Fighter game based of off Chun-Li?  Maybe a couple anime movies or something like that, but never the game.  And besides, the acting was shit anyway.  How about they make a Street Fighter game around let's say... Street Fighter?  In the first movie, Ryu and Ken were nowhere near what they were supposed to be and they weren't even IN the second one.  And in the first movie, Sagat was kind of used the way he was supposed to be used, but again where was he in the second one?  I think they should make a Street Fighter movie where Ken and Ryu both go to the Street Fighter tournament and fight the characters in the first game, while at the same time showing the character development with Ryu and Ken as well as showing the diablical Adon and Sagat.  Unless you're a hardcore Street Fighter fan, you wouldn't even know who some of the first ever characters were, like Adon.  And they should get a good cast that could act out the characters. Like for instance:

Ryu

Because Ryu is such a force in the world of Street Fighter and THE person that people know, he would have to be played by someone that can handle taking the mantle piece of Ryu.

John Foo
He's shown he can handle playing Ryu on a smaller scale.  I believe that putting him on a high budget in Hollywood, he could get beefed out and handle himself as the Street Fighter #1 character.

Ken

A character as pivotal as Ryu, Ken would also have have to be played by someone willing to take the mantle of such an epic character.

Chris Hemsworth
He's young, he's blonde, he's good looking, and if he can handle playing Thor, he can handle playing Ken.  Sure Ken maybe a little more dynamic than Thor, he'd be able to handle the screen presence that Thor brings let alone Ken.
